This blog entry teaches you how to install and load LucidDB with an OLAP cube called sales mart.

1. Download and Install LucidDB (if you haven't already)
   http://www.dynamobi.com/c/downloads/stable/
   
2. Download Saiku Server
   Saiku's website is here: http://www.saikuanalytics.com/
   Instructions for these simple steps were done with 2.0RC1
   
3. Add the LucidDB JDBC jar to Saiku's tomcat installation
   Copy $LUCIDDB_HOME/plugin/LucidDbClient.jar
   to
   $SAIKU_HOME/tomcat/lib/LucidDbClient.jar
4. Add a new "datasource" to Saiku but creating a new file (with the name of your datasource).  For instance, to enable the "Federal Purchasing Data Set" schema, I created a file named
   $SAIKU_HOME/tomcat/webapps/saiku/WEB-INF/classes/saiku-datasources/fpds
   with the following contents
   type=OLAP
   name=fpds
   driver=mondrian.olap4j.MondrianOlap4jDriver
   location=jdbc:mondrian:Jdbc=jdbc:luciddb:http://localhost;Catalog=/Users/ngoodman/dev/eigenbase_workspace/dynamobidemo/olap/fpds.mondrian.xml;
   username=sa
   password=
   
   You'll need to replace any of the bolded items with your own configuration. 
   name=fpds (change to whatever the name of your datasource name is)
   Jdbc= URL (if you're using LucidDB on the same machine you should not need to change this.  If you are using it on another machine, or need to adjust any JDBC Connection Parameters )
   Catalog = point to the location of a Mondrian schema (http://mondrian.pentaho.com/documentation/schema.php)
   Username = sa (if you are using a base installation, otherwise change it to the username you created to access the database)
   Password = blank (if you are using a base installation, otherwise change it to the password that you might have set for the user in Username =
   
5. Restart Saiku Server
   ./stop-saiku.bat[sh]
   ./start-saiku.bat[sh}
